This side-to-side shawlette is designed especially for special skeins of hand-dyed yarn -- it takes just one skein of lace or fingering/4ply yarn. The stockinette body shows off variegation while the lace border adds a bit of interest.

Yarn: About 700 yds of lace weight yarn (knit doubled) or 370 yds of fingering weight yarn (Shown: Skein Queen Delectable, merino/silk lace yarn, doubled)
Needles: US 6 / 4mm straight or circular needles
Special Techniques: Knitting lace from charts or written instructions, blocking
