I have been a friggin' prolific knitter lately. My boyfriend is coming over from England in a week (Eeeeee!), so I've been knitting projects like so: "Hm, I wonder if I can finish this before Lewis comes over."
You can see my achievements on my Ravelry page.
First, it was the skirt. That gorgeous, gorgeous skirt. It took me just over 2 months to complete. Finished June 15.
Then, it was the sweater. I dyed up two skeins of Paton's Classic Wool for a vintage pattern, named the "Three-hour sweater". It took me 11 hours to knit plus time to seam and block, but I finished it on June 12.
Then, it was the socks. I am extremely prone to second sock syndrome, and I had one pair that I had started around the end of April. I cast on the second sock somewhere around the first week of June or something. I expected these to hold me over until Lewis arrived on the 28th, but I finished the pair on June 17.
Then (!), it was the tank top. I just finished this one this evening, it's upstairs blocking right now. The pattern is Lelah; I had gotten the yarn for it and cast on in February, overestimated the size and then frogged it. I cast on again two days ago. Something is obviously wrong with me, I am knitting way too quickly.
Tonight I've cast on for Ysolda's lovely little patter the Cloud Bolero, completely spur-of-the-moment, out of some stash. I have two skeins of that Noro-esque Debbie Mumm yarn from JoAnn's, and I have some various other orange and yellow yarns that I'll stripe once I run out of the Debbie Mumm. Should be cute, I hope. We'll see, yeah?
Until next time.

Fiber content of today's post: 70% animal hair, 30% silk.
Which also happens to be the fiber content of my most recent Knit Picks order.
11 skeins of Elegance (70% baby alpaca, 30% silk), and one skein each of Gloss Lace in Mango (70% wool, 30% silk) and Shimmer in Lilac (70% baby alpaca, 30% silk). They're all super-yummy. The Elegance is for the Sylph Cardigan from Interweave, the Shimmer is for a Swallowtail shawl, and the Gloss Lace is for I'm Not Sure Yet, maybe Laminaria, the shoulder-shawl version.
Here's how that Sylph is coming, by the way.
I'm really enjoying it. I'm not going to enjoy the seaming so much, but I love the pattern so much that I don't think I mind.
